Who we are

Moling Expert is an owner-run trenchless groundworks business operating across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, West Sussex, Wiltshire and Dorset. We focus exclusively on water supply pipes — replacing old lead and galvanised mains, fitting new supplies for extensions and outbuildings, and responding to bursts and leaks.

We aren’t a national franchise and we don’t sub the work out. Every quote, every site visit and every job is done by the same small crew, which is why we can guarantee what we say we’ll do — and turn up when we say we will.

What we believe

Most water main jobs are sold by people who profit from making them as big and disruptive as possible. We don’t. If we can do it with a 600mm hole and a pneumatic mole instead of a 30-metre trench across your driveway, we will — every time.

We also believe in honest pricing. Every quote is fixed, written down, and explained before we start. No “oh, we found a problem” surprises halfway through the day.

How we work

• Free quote — usually within the hour, by phone, email or quote form.
• Site survey if needed — we’ll plan the bore line and confirm fixed price.
• Booked-in dates — we don’t no-show, and we don’t turn up late without calling.
• Single-day install on most domestic jobs — water back on by evening.
• Tidy reinstatement — we backfill, sweep up and leave the place clean.

Insurance & standards

• £5m public liability cover — certificate available on request.
• Pipe materials are WRAS-approved blue MDPE with a 25-year design life.
• Methods aligned with WaterSafe and CHAS standards.
• All staff CSCS-carded and DBS-checked.
